Each year, AWT develops and maintains monthly programs designed to help our members grow both their technical and "soft" skills, while providing opportunities to network with each other and give back to the community. Our calendar includes Intelligent Conversations with IT Thought Leaders, philanthropic events, the Women in Tech Summit at InnoTech Austin, happy hours, and special "Members Only" events.

Spots are limited at many of our events, so be sure to register for those you're interested in... and spread the word to friends & colleagues! Members receive discounted registration to every event, so if you are not yet a member, sign up here.

Andrea Barto - Director of Engineering at WellSky

"How to Manage Up Successfully and Authentically in Challenging Times"

Chris Benevich - Founder of Austin Digital Coaching

    "Redirecting Disagreements Through Strategic Questions"
The way you manage discussions can increase or decrease the friction and resistance you encounter. Choose your questions and you'll be able to guide the process gracefully to get work done efficiently and effectively. This session provides clarity about which questions produce the best answers.

Diane Dean - Master Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation

    "Building Your Professional Portfolio"
Presenting real life examples and practical solutions on how someone can build a career despite an irrelevant degree and/or lack of experience. How to leverage local community and social media to manifest dream role. If you're a stay at home mom and looking to enter the corporate world. It's a career change!

Noopur Gupta - Sr. Systems Engineer with Travis County

"Women in the Workforce: Should I Stay or Should I Go?"
The pandemic has forced many women to re-evaluate if they should stay in the workforce or not. Some were temporarily forced out via layoff or furlough and are evaluating if they should return. Others are juggling daycare, eldercare and/or schooling at home while trying to work fulltime.   This session will look at some of the data and explore options and concerns. If you are uncertain or on the edge of leaving or returning to the workforce -  this session is for you. Attendees will be invited to a follow-up workshop on June 11th at noon.

Diane Kenyon - Managing Director in Project Services at Charles Schwab

"Imposter Syndrome: Learning to Identify and Overcome"
Impostor Syndrome is increasingly becoming more prevalent as a behavioral health condition impairing professional performance and contributing to burnout. Statistically, women struggle with self esteem and confidence issues at a far greater rate than their male counterparts in the workforce. In this session, Jenna will highlight the symptoms of Imposter Syndrome and more importantly, how to overcome feelings of self-doubt. Together, we'll explore ways we can begin to turn our minds towards our strengths and capabilities and finally conquer insecurity in our professional careers.

Jenna Koontz - Senior Director of Global Escalations at Financial Force

"Including Minority Voices in the Conversation"
Diversity hiring has long been a priority initiative for many companies but what happens after the hire is just as important. During this session we will discuss the including equity and inclusion into the diversity conversation and the importance of not just sitting at the table but being heard.

Betsy Montañez - University Partnership Manager at FDM Group

    "Organizing Mentoring/Networking Programs"
We have learned a lot of lessons in the past three years in our Austin WIT committee at Visa and I want to share them with you. This session will cover how to build a playbook for your program, who you need to have involved and what to cover during an event. I will also be sharing examples of our prior playbooks so you can modify them for your own. Q&A time will be at the end so you can bring your challenges to the discussion and we can all share in helping make this next year brighter.

Payton Pangburn - M&A Product Manager at Visa
