Mentoring Workshop

Author and speaker Marny Lifshen will lead an interactive workshop focused on understanding how to leverage relationships with mentors in practical and impactful ways. Together we will:

• explore a clear understanding of what mentors actually are and what they are NOT
• discuss strategies for ensuring productive meetings and how to avoid common mistakes
• identify ways to find and approach potential mentors
• brainstorm on career issues and opportunities that would benefit from a mentor's input
• role play to gain confidence as a mentee -- and a mentor!

Key Information

• Attire: Wear whatever makes you feel good! Note that you may be standing some of the time so consider comfy shoes.
• Food: Chef Vi, a local female chef will be creating Tea Sandwiches, Peach Bruschetta, Cranberry Pecan Chicken Salad on Croissants, Antipasto Skewers, Chicken Flautas, and a Veggie Platter with a variety of dips.

• Parking: There is a huge, FREE parking lot right out front. There are kiosks to pay for parking, but we have it covered. There is no need to pay.

She is a nationally recognized expert on strategic networking, personal branding, professional relationships and communication. She is the author of the award-winning Some Assembly Required: A Networking Guide for Women, which is in its second edition.
