He is currently serving as the Coordinator & Recruiter for the Information Technology Apprenticeship Program at Austin Community College. Joshua has been passionate about and fluent in technology since the age of 13. His passion lead to him wanting to help family and friends, which also became a passion for the community. Working at Child Protective Services for almost 5 years helped him understand why recruiting is important in many aspects of life, especially in the Technology World. As a person that is very interested in Afro-Futurism, the Internet of Things, and Artificial Intelligence, he is always looking to learn something new.
Elizabeth Maze helps people find, get, and keep great jobs. They are a career coach and instructor for Career Services at Austin Community College. What they love about their program is the department's focus on increasing career equity in populations who face external barriers to employment. Maze has two master's degrees, one in English and one in TESOL - and a decade of experience teaching in intergenerational, multicultural classrooms. Maze also brings with them a lifelong love of theatre performance and uses those tools to help prepare people for "the performance" aspects of a job interview, including improvisation and confidence building.
