Belinda Perez has over 25 years of experience in the technology industry in the public and private sectors. Belinda began her technology career as a Systems Engineer for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) working for companies such as Enron and American Oil and Gas. Ms. Perez realized she had a passion for local government and joined the City of Austin, Texas, as an IT Project Manager where she focuses on the innovative application of technology to enhance business objectives and service management. Prior to joining the City of Austin, Ms. Perez served as GIS Manager for the City of Santa Clarita, CA. She holds a BAAS from Texas State and a Masters in Public Administration from Baruch College in NYC.
Belinda joined the AWT Board in 2013 and began her service as the Board's Treasurer. She was nominated to a second term and now leads the Board as the AWT President.
